Re: I saw an add for a dog

My old neighbor in texas has 2 of them. They are not designer dogs at all they are just a dark shade of yellow. Kinda like snow labs that are white. They are just a light shade of yellow. They both currently have master hunter and the older one got the title at only a year and two months! He is a gr...

Re: DeCoverly English Setters??

The reason they are so big is because they are from Ryman old Hemlock lines which usually are quite big. They are great hunting dogs from what I have heard and are bred for grouse and woodcock but are also great at other upland birds. Just my 2 cents.

Re: are these just tick bites?

That bite looks like the bullseye they warn about when lyme is spread, which is why I suggested Doxycycline. Do you use anything to repel or kill ticks on her? My vet tells me that it takes 24 hours to spread lyme from tick to host, and Frontline Plus kills them in 24-48 hours. Add a repellant like...

Re: are these just tick bites?

Eric – I showed Dr. Violet the photos and she said that these are not tick bites. Ticks usually go to hairier places. She sees dogs with these circles every year. She said they are some kind of gnatty bugs that are out in the grass this time of year and the circles will go away. Shouldn’t have any ...

Revolution Flea Tick and Heart Worm

I heard about this product the other day and was just curious about it. Its alot cheaper to buy this then to buy frontline and then heart guard and its just one treatment for all three pests. Does this product work?
Do you recomend it?

I put English setter but you need to put down Ryman setter. Even though they are a "type" of english setter there is a big difference.

Texas is alright but the bird hunting isnt that great in the hill country (we just moved away from austin) because all of the quail have left back in the 80s when the fire ants moved in.

I might try oklahoma, new mexico or utah (we lived in salt lake)
