What does it take?

What it takes!

Ok, post here what each would look for in a pup for it's future possibilities as an all age dog canidate! (Maybe style, nose, stamina, Speed, bird finding ability) Is it different than what you want for a hunter?

Training Collar

Hello All, Luke and his training collar. I used a collar for his early training that has never been talked about in any of the bird dog forums or training books so far that I have read. It is used by the sighthound lure coursing group. This was adopted from horse equipment I am told. It is a nylon m...

Do a search for gamebird breeders, or gamebird breeders association.
although they may not sell as few as you will need. Check with any local perserves to see if they would sell you a few.

Finally after two months of outings

Luke my 18 wk old Llewellin busted his first quail today. :o Two months of 3-4 fun outings a week and it happened. You might consider getting a trap and catching local pigeons. Should be some places on the base that has pigeons hanging around.

Ezzy,
I purchased a Llewellin pup that can not be regestered with FDSB because of breeder on one side no longer registers with them. Started his own register.
