Vet says Interceptor kills more worms but I have been using Heartgard.
What are you people using? My dogs are all Weims if that matters.

As puppies become young adults and then fully mature their food needs change. My 3year olds eat way less then they did at 18 to 24 months.

I like that collar set up. Be sure to read up on proper introduction and use of the collar. The bark collar feature is nice because it offers a hands off auto ride for deterrence or set it to a desired level. I think the later choice is the best for 2 reasons.1 it is set with the transmitter so you ...

Nice day today so got out for a couple hours. Have had nasty weather- a little snow but 50/60 mph winds so expected some areas of the cattail sloughs to be drifted in. Had 20+ birds fly out of the bean stubble and into the slough so we knew we would find birds. Well the birds were spooky but still h...

IDhunter- I also agree that a checkcord can be an invaluable aid in taking the chase out of a dog. A checkcord with a prong or JASA type pinch collar can speed that learning curve dramatically. At least I have found it to be so. If you put a bird in a launcher and bring the dog in until it scents a...

I think arguements about size are often unrealistic- a bigger dog probably has a bigger stride so they take fewer steps to cover the same distance.
