A little more context might help. I’m a weekend hunter with an aging dog that was also my first. My current dog is a nice little hunter that if I had the time or desire could earn titles. I’m buying my second puppy soon and have a nice litter picked out. Just wondering if non-hunting dogs come out ...

Don't the tests that supposedly reveal what breed a dog is use breed characteristics for their IDs? How is it so ...

You can't undo what was done to the gsp's. People's need to win made them do things and hide it. And there were some really good white pointers that helped them to achieve some of what they wanted. So what was done is a done deal. I think it added style and speed. And gave people the ability to add...

Very happy with the Dogtra Pathfinder.
That said, I wouldn't use it as a training collar. The shock function is nice if your dog takes after a deer or really won't listen, but too cumbersome for practical training work.

Longer than what you expect to see on a Brit, but I wouldn't give it too much thought. I know one GSP breeder that intentionally leaves them longer than what one sees typically. Ok. Let's clarify that "bird dog" for many means "pointing dog". Actually, I agree. But here, let's call it a dog that hunts (and maybe retrieves) upland birds, including flushing them.
