Re: Electronic collar training - "Here"
gonehunten, Let me try to explain how this works, The Pet safe yard collar with auto beeper/shock is introduced after the dogs field training with the C-Cord and T&B collar, so the dog fully understands the T&B collar commands. The dog when he tries to test the limits of the Pet safe fence backs off...

Re: Can a dog be a washout as a gun dog?
Gentlemen, As long as there are actual serious bird hunters, there will be wash out dogs, a dog who works to close all the time, or one with poor scenting ability usually will not make the grade with an avid Grouse hunter, no matter the dog breed. Ripper one of my Gordons is a big moving Gordon who ...

What we do with slow developer dog like this is run him with a bigger running dog, however remember that some V-dogs hunt close as a matter of genetic imprint, if you are fighting the genetic imprint, good luck.

Birddogz,
When you have a Grouse location such as this, you can use it for training, and only shoot Grouse when your dog does everything you demand absolutley perfectly.
This developes big time Grouse dogs.
