Re: Gun Legislation--Nationwide Peaceful Protest 1/19/13
Three hundred in Rapid City. Disappointed it wasn't three thousand. I suspect that most aren't taking the current threat seriously. Hope they get involved before it's too late. We had around 300-400 people as well. I agree about those not taking the threat seriously. I also think there a lot of peo...

Re: laundry packing dog
My older dog Roxi loves to carry things, socks are a favorite. As a pup, I never scolded her for "stealing" anything, usually let her prize the item for a moment, commanded give, gave the item back to her, command give again, and put the item up, with a pat for being a good girl. She will carry groc...

I have two seasons into a Mendota skid plate. Part of a plastic keeper at an adjustment point broke this season, but it's not a big deal. Pretty sure I'll get another season or two out of it, so I think it's a good buy, and it's sturdy IMO. I use that skid plate or a Cabelas ripstop vest most times ...

My sister has a liver and white ESS that gets kind of wooly. In the past, she's clippered him and trimmed with scissors, sometimes really short. I don't know whether that type of trimming has had any negative impact to his coat, but when it grows out, it can be really soft, dead brown looking fluff,...

I really don't call shooting at a neighbors dog at age 13, little boy antics. To me, it's disturbing behavior. I'll never understand how folks turn a kid loose with a BB gun either, as if it's a toy. They're capable of some pretty serious injuries.

Thanks for all the input. I doubt two novices with dogs that have never hunted grouse, will do any damage to the population, but I'll certainly keep conservation in mind. I'm guessing we'll be lucky to even spot some.

I'm not a gal that is into jewelry, but I'm betting that a jewelry store could do the engraving, if you provide the band.
I didn't see brass here, but I'd guess they'd have it, along with a variety of options:
