mines right next to my quail pen......no problem . they hassle them a bit but no excuse for not knowing what a quail smells like i have some corrugated iron up about 3' around the bottom of the quail pen, amazing how far a shorthair can stretch his neck to peer over the edge.

my advice: take note of 'gonehuntin' and 'kninebirddogs 'advice,do the research decide on the process stick with it .take notice of trainers using the same procedures

i'll add to the general consensus this The friends who keep there dogs kenneled up say that they can not be pets and hunters is BS. my dogs are kenneled outside but are house trained, a visit inside is a privilege not a right ,having said that they are very much pets as well as accomplished gundogs.
