What do the Europeans know about dogs?

Very common in Europe, especially Scandinavia. At brace trials, dogs are expected to point and back....lead dog to flush on command....sit on the flush....and retrieve on command....while the backing dog honors.

Wonder how that would work in the FDSB??

I have personally seen dead coyote in NY State that weighed 54, 56 and 64 lbs....all laid out in a big chest freezer waiting to be skinned out. They are a different animal here in the east.

Breeders should name the dogs. If the name is that important, you can always go to a no name breeder. No matter what the dog's name, you can still say. "Here, Duke!!".
I'd rather sell a pup to someone who wants a hunting dog ... and hopefully more than a name.

Some of these gundogs are aces others are mediocre meat dogs.

I hope the term "meat dog" isn't being used as a pejorative. Be careful...you need folks to buy all those dogs that don't make it....those "meat dogs"...which are the vast majority of what you're producing.

I think a dog should be allowed to relocate while the judges observe. An experienced judge can tell when a dog bumped...they know caution when they see it. These should be hunting dogs too. Nothing more satisfying to see a dog relocate, even multiple times on moving game while maintaining manners. D...

IMO...if you are going to hunt with other dogs, its better to be steady to WSF...dogs pulling on a bird together or worse, like dogs getting in a tiff over the retrieve is possible.
