If you check the directions for use, the 5-in-1 calls for twice the amount the 3-in-1 does, so it remains substantially more expensive. And my pigeons and game birds apparently have not needed its extra benefits, which doesn't mean others won't. But please know I'm not knocking your suggestions. I'...

The sand you are talking about is fine to use. The 12-15 birds is alot for that pen. You will see more losses (bird not coming back) and more sickness for sure. The bobs can be left up for a while then slowly dropped. Read my post about starting with pigeons and you will know how to do it.

Here is a link to a 5-1. I could not find the exact one I have but this is very simular and they may not make the one I have anymore. This treats for most worms also. I think if you used this as your one and only med. your birds would stay pretty healthy. I am really into the health side of pigeons ...

Most my V perches are commercial made ones. Here is a pic. They are a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 board 5 inches long with the V's being about 6 inches long. The ones I made I copied the commercial ones.

I have never been a alvocate of books or reading a method. I like to see it done and videos are great. I use to post on their upland bird dog site long ago and knew about the method and nothing compares to seeing it.

Yes, Brad Higgins on here sells the dvds. Bill West was a genius with dogs. The video is not real great but the training methods are. Good luck

Thanks guys. There was 12 pups and I think 3 died. My dog must be pretty potant cause they only locked up one time. The first time the customer brought the dog he tied with her and after that he would not have anything to do with her. It is like he knew or something.

I said that and you can't go back. If your dog qualifies as a MH you can't go back and get SH. I don't know why but it is in the rule book.

I would suggest always going through at least SH. You dog can be at the MH level and still run SH. You can use SH to see really where your dog is at. Dogs are different at test than in your back yard. It does not ever hurt to run SH IMO. Once you have been around tests for a while and finished some ...
