They are great dogs, but then I am biased. I currently have 4 of them, and will be keeping a female from my upcomiong litter. They are often marketed as close working dogs, but that is not entirely true. Much depends on what you do with them when they are young. Vern and Chloe will get out as far as...

French Brittany tiny?? Those are fightin words  I prefer to think of mine as Pocket Rockets! Going from 2 dogs to 3 was a bigger transition for me. They all want attention at the same time, and here I am with only 2 hands. After that, adding the 4th was easy, and I will be adding a 5th this yea...

I follow the French naming convention. The kennel name proceeded by a name that statrs with a letter based on the year. This is a "D" year so the names have been Darius, Derrick, Damascus... It is easy to see a dogs name and know about how old it is. As just starting in breeding, I also want people ...

I had the DC 30 collar come of Vern hunting Grouse this weekend. Was nice being able to know pretty much right where it was. Once I got within 10 yards, where it told me I was near, switched to the dog collar screen for that collar, and pinpointed it to 1 yard, where I found it. Would be nice if the...

I use Pedigree Exploreer by PedX. It will determine a COI back as far as 25 generations. On my dogs I can trace back 17 to 18 generations. Took a little time to input all the information, but luckily the French have their Stud Book available online for free

It varies widely by airline. The first time I flew to France with Vern, it was on Iceland Air and it was $250.00 round Trip. When I looked at going back with him this Spring it was $600.00 on NorthWest, as Iceland Air has cut back its flights from Minneapolis to Paris. Flying to AZ and back in 2007 ...
