we do still have grass! This is our 1st dog and we've only had him about 4 months and most of those the grass was covered in snow. But right now it is looking like it's going to go away quickly!

i was sitting on the couch next to my wife when she started tickling my feet. My old reaction would have to move my foot. The other night I said NO! and pushed her head away. I wasn't joking with her, this was my natural reflex!

Glad you had a good hunt! I have hunted Errienna a few times and was actually there last weekend myself. How did you like rooster heaven? How was the cost compared to Erienna? I have been looking for a few more places in the area to go, but they are all so expensive.

I am thinking this stuff may have been a mistake. I started mixing 1/2 cup with each of his 2 daily feedings and he has had diahhrea that last 2. Is one cup a day mixed with his eagle pack enough to do that to him? Not to mention i am smelling some really nasty gas has i type this!

I refrain from giving advice to anyone regarding anything that has to do with training (I don't really know what I am doing), but I have to agree with ditching the wings. I am working on my first dog right now. He will be far from perfect because I really don't have the resources to get him anywhere...

I love my lab, but he wasn't my first choice of breed. My 1st choice was a GSP followed closely by a Weim. Ended up with a lab in a compromise with my wife. IF there were no more labs i would go back to my first choice of a GSP, if it's ok with my wife that is! :D

Thats great PtLab! I am bringing my pup out tomorrow again and I am really hoping to see some improvment in hunting over the last few times i had him out. Thanks for the info Chaingang. He has been soley on Eagle Pack for about a week. He was getting 1/2 Eukanuba and 1/2 Eagle pack for about 5 days before that. MIkeB, no he has not been through surgery recently.

Another note, yes our house has gotten extremly dry.

awesome! Great job! I know you have had a couple of attempts so far making this even better! So far my little lab has only found dead birds. He hasn't yet figured out how to catch up to running pheasants.

I recently bought a lab pup from Zig Zag in Wi. I don't know how well he will hunt and/or point yet, but Tim and Charity were great people to work with. Charity continues to give me advice when i ask (i dont ask too often though, i hate to be a pest.) I can't say enough good things about them!

i agree on the gas. I had some rawhide chips i used to feed my pup, but i couldn't watch tv in peace. His gas was REALLY bad. so the point of putting my dog on adult food is to get him more nutrition and calories to help him maitain his active life style? Am I hurting him at all on the puppy formula? I thought puppy formula was to provide more of the stuff they need to grow?

I don't understand when/why to move to dog food. Does it make a big difference what i am feeding my dog(as far as puppy vs dog food)? DO i have to give him less dog food than puppy food and that is the real advantage? Is it better to feed dog food, because he is a more active than the average puppy?...

my buddy is considering the pistol grip shot gun as well to better fit into his bedroom. He is talking about a laser pointer to help accuracy, the kick might still throw him off, but he can at least start with good aim. I shot one of those 10 years ago and it did not feel good!
