I lost all 17 of my adult homers and 2 young ones in one night to a mink or weasel  . I need to know easy sets and good baits to catch them(I won't get anymore homers until I catch them). Another good day on the rez
There's no birds in Washington County, so I went back north to the indian rez. This morning I took Penny 5 and my male, Shooter. I hadn't even gone 75 yards until I had my first point over Penny 5--2 hens and a rooster--got the rooster. In that field I got another hen point from Penny5 and had about...

Just keep a list of judges you won't run under---then don't run your dog under them. Don't hold it against the club--unless that is the only judges they use. You can look in the AKC judges directory--look up the judge name, you can then look up past assignments to find out which clubs use that judge...

The male's pedigree is real strong in both field & show. The pup is probably to young for long hunts---keep it short and fun. I'd think about a kennel cover to break air flow. 20 degree weather going down the hwy at 60mph sounds like a fairly low wind chill index to me. If nothing else you could duct tape the side vents shut--outside not inside or he might eat the tape.

How did you teach him to honor and how is his stop to flush? I agree with Brad---launch birds in front of the pointing dog when your dog is moving & lookin' at the pointing dog---your dog might think his movement flushed the bird. He MIGHT then start backing--thinking it's his fault the bird flushed.
