I don't believe that any sons or grandsons of Fiddler are still alive, I can't think of any great grandsons either. If one wanted a strong shot of Fiddler I think you would have to look around and find something linebred back to him.

I feed and water at the same time that I do at home, I feed the same feed and the same amount. When I can I bring water from home or buy a couple large jugs and take it along. I let them out on a chain or leash to air every 3 or 4 hours depending on the weather. Make sure to take bowls and something...

Heat will get them mouth breathing and they won't being scenting birds as well, green cover is also tougher for the dog to smell game birds as well. I would think if I saw four birds that the rest of the covey would be around close.

We used to feed 'K-zyme" to our cows before breeding and to our bitches before breeding or when hunting our dogs hard. My hunting partner has a hard gainer and his vet sold him some Fastrack, he uses very little and it seems to have helped. Tripe, just the thought makes me gag.

Tom,
The Rebel blood generally refers to dogs that go back to the old all age champion A Rambling Rebel. I think if you google field trial pointers you can still find Frank Thompson old site that had info on the "Rebel" dogs.
