Re: Car sick
My GSP got car sick from day one. It took about 7-9 months for him to grow out of it. One of the things that helped us was to place the dog kennel facing forward instead of it facing the back of the truck.

Tomato Juice is on our hunting check list and seems to work the best. Cover your dog completely with tomato juice and let it soak for several minutes then rinse. You may have to apply it a second time depending on how many times your pup got sprayed. I also use Dura Lon collars for my dogs and you c...

You are probably right about the den. When I was stationed in the Army at Fort Hood, we use to come across them all the time. When we did they were usually holed up near rock formations. I would definitely get some snake boots.

The best dog I have ever had was a Bullmastiff. Affectionate and loyal. The only problem was, I couldn't get him to hunt. He would rather lay around the house instead. My first time hunting quail I was about 14. My friends dad had a GSP and when I saw him on point for the first time, I was hooked. H...

When you say "positive effect on performance," do your dogs hunt a little harder and can go a little longer? Can you see a significant improvement in stamina?
I have been hesitant to try these only because I haven't heard much about them. Would you recommend them?

The best waterfowl gun is one that fits the shooter comfortably and puts the birds down. My best advice is to go to a few different stores, pawn shops included and shoulder a dozen or so shotguns. I personally prefer an autoloader for waterfowl but that is my opinion. I also prefer a 3" vs a 3.5". G...

Re: New Puppy Stomach Issues
Moving will cause some stress which will cause the stomach problems. Also, did you change the dogs food from what the breeder was feeding? If you did, you should mix the dog food and gradually increase the new dog food until your dog is eating 100% of the new dog food.
