Re: trial question

The answer in short is no you are not responsible for giving his dog an opportunity to back. There's a few reasons for this though. The first reason is according to the rules if your dog is on point and time expires you have one minute to produce the bird and complete the retrieve to get credit for ...

Stapled dog up in the field. Infection question.

Had my 2.5 year old shorthair run through a barbed wire fence today on a retrieve. It was my fault for putting the bird too close to it. Anyways she cut herself on her right front leg, slightly on the inside. Cut is about 2.5" long at most and not super deep with only maybe a couple of centimers of ...

I feed the enhance hunter's edge premium blend and could not be happier. Price is better than proplan and the dogs do incredibly well on it. Tip here though is don't feed the basic forumla. Get the premium blend. There is no way I would switch to PP over this.

This happens all too often with sporting type dogs. Someone wants a lab or a shorthair or setter because they are just so darn pretty. That story is exactly the reason you shouldn't hunt your gap with a flushing dog. The dog in this story may not have been able to see the springer but the springer was busting the gsp birds in this story. It is a surefire way to undo your hard work and training.
