Today is in the sixties and we have noticed we are not seeing as many birds. Still scratched out five before lunch between two guys. We have had good luck walking next to fresh cut corn fields first part of the day. Shot my first double on wild roosters yesterday two minutes after it opened.

Go talk to your vet about your concerns, and get your dog the snake shot at the same time. Your vet should know quite a bit about the snakes around this area, and what course you should take. While I am cleaning birds I will feed the dog scraps of meat, it is like he is getting rewarded for a job well done. I have never fed them bones from the birds, but I believe that is more of a personal fear than anything else.

It all depends on how we are hunting I guess. If we are in the fields decoying the geese, I use black cloud 3 in 4 shot. But if we are out duck hunting and we might get a pass over shot, I will pull out 3 in bb shot.

There is a company out of Florida I believe that is selling used Tahoe's with the duramax swap. Supposedly they get around 23 mpg, and they are not much more expensive then the trucks. Right around the $30,000.00 mark if I remember the article correctly.
