Re: Beeper, no. GPS, Yes.

I bought the Tritronics beeper. Even at the lowest setting, it hurt my ears. I know lots of folks use them but I didn't want to subject my dog's ears to it. Most people will put a cotton ball in the beeper to reduce this noise. I agree even a low setting it is very loud. Not bad with cotton ball th...

I have the video's but cannot remember exactly probalby around 4-5 months old. just remember keep it fun with very little pressure on the dog. It is all about the fun for a young puppy.

at least for wet suits a neoprene vest should fit snuggly. allowing a thing layer of water to get between the body and vest. Your body then heats up this thin water layer creating another insulating layer. Unprotected the body would lose heat rapildy to the colder water.

Jcbuch, I agree reasonable gun range. Remember if you are runing a SH dog get that blank fired asap, so the dog can move, unless you know he will stand for you until you get there. You should purchase a blank gun first. you can do that at a local outdoor store or go to a place like www.lcsupply.com. This is the fist noise that pup should hear. in the interim just be load around when pup is eating heartily. this will associate loud noises (hit a pot with a spoon or something ) ...

best advise I wouild say is for you to just socialize that young pup for a while longer dont rush it he is still young, dont put pressure on him just take him everywhere you go. in the woods, to meet other dogs, and people, etc. if you have not done this already. Look for a retriever club in your ar...

I like to use either softer springs or change how the spring attaches to the cage to make the spring when in tension shorter and therefore have less tension.
