I breats them out and will cook them Med Rare on the grill with some salt and pepper, then slice it thin then serve it with a little horse radish. Or Ill cut them into 1x2 in pieces and wrap em in bacon and grill em till the bacon is done. I like to marinade the goose in a good cheap black berry win...

Got my Pointer and flusher out today.....
and they scored on a pair of hard earned wild quail. GSP pointed the covey and my lab managed to bust a single after the covey broke up.

I never see any woodcock here during season, its usually to dry but do some training on them in the spring. i couldnt imagine shooting 60% on tose little brown rockets! way to get your son involved and keeping those grades up.

I shoot alot of rabbits over my labbut will probly hold off shooting rabbits over my GSP, more so from personal preferance than anything else. I know that there are several guys on here who do shoot bunnies.

My two stay outside during the day and sleep outside at night. In between when me or my wife are home they are inside. I feel like the dogs especially my lab handle the extreme heat and cold better if they are out in it. there is some debate about whether or not thats true but its how I do it.

there is a local retriever trainer who charges a set $400 to FF a dog which is basically his monthly rate, that covers board and training, he charges the same if it takes a week or 6 weeks. truthfully if youve got 15 minutes a day its not really a terrible process.
