Have you tried to marry 2 receivers to one position on your Tri tronics G3 or 550 so both of the recievers on the neck and flank go off together.

Re: New E-Collar... Dogtra Edge, Garmin 550 or Garmin Alpha

If you don`t need the GPS I would recommend the Dogtra Edge. One button for each collar up to four. No switch to switch or find. By that time it is usually too late anyways. I like it for training also. I can put one collar on the neck and another around the flank if I am teaching steadiness. Very e...

While I agree with the others about the 6 vs 10 weeks picking up I also see a breeder that wants the pups gone and if he wants them gone at 6 weeks he has done very little socialization of the pups as a litter and this is VERY important. I think it is OK to add them to your flock. But they are a hawk magnate. When they tumble in the sky they appear to be wounded and the hawks and owls see it as an opportunity. I would buy more than two, you may need them.

I don't think birds use the wind at all. They run the direction the people or dogs aren't. So, it you're working INTO the wind, the dog goes on point and the bird runs out, it's fairly likely that bird will go down wind. Dog doesn't stand much of a chance of winding that bird unless he runs one hec...
