My Pup at 14 weeks
Chloe is 14 weeks this morning, I got her to actually look at the camera last night so I thought I'd post a picture. She goes to the vet on Tuesday morning, so I can get a more exact weight then, but I believe she weighs in at around 17-18 pounds or so.

Re: Pa wild pheasants
Flushed a few farms yesterday, only flushed 2 roosters. Seems those particular farms have a great deal of cover, but nothing for the birds to eat. We got started at around 9:30 or so, so the birds may have been off looking for food. Should have more luck Sunday, with more people and more dogs.

That one worked, 40 hens and 37 roosters. Pretty close to a 1:1 ratio. I wonder how the other pheasant recovery area's are doing?

Your pup will get the hang of it, I thought mine was never gonna learn either and we've been accident free for a few days now. I don't give her any water after about 7:45 or so and she only goes out once now at night. Usually around 3:30AM. and then sleeps till morning.

Re: Wont Get out of Kennel at Night
I've been trying to take her out every two hours, (12:30, 2:30, 4:30, 6:00) Her bed usually isn't wet in the morning, maybe I'll cut her back to just once a night this week, and if she does OK, I'll try and go all night.

Wont Get out of Kennel at Night
Chloe is doing very well at crate training, she lays right down and goes to sleep when put inside. However when I wake up to take her potty in the middle of the night she doesn't want to get out. I open the door and she just lays back down. I usually have to reach in and pull her out. It's not that ...

There was actually a whole article in last months Delta Waterfowl magazine about how competition (in this case with DU) breeds innovation and produces better outcomes for all involved. It seems likely that the same would hold true with Quail conservation orgs.

I just posed the same question to the Dokkens company themselves, They said to tape the throw rope to the body, until the pup learns to pick it up there. Then you can remove the tape and use the throw rope.

This book was recommended to me, but I've never seen any mention of it here on this forum. Any body have any experience with it?

I guess what I was asking is; is the 24/16 an acceptable food for our new puppy, or should we switch to something more like 30/20 or 30/22 ASAP. I'm not gonna argue with a breeders decision of food. They've been raising GSP's for 30 years.

Perhaps I'm over-thinking this a bit, but it seems to me with all the quality foods that are being fed out there, it would stand to reason that dog treats should be quality as well. What brands of treats are you guys feeding your dogs

The "white ground" could indicate the presence of alkali salts. Does the milky color occur more heavily after a rain. If so, this is probably an indication of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium cations dispersing into the water from the clay. This could be the case if the drained area is agri...

As far as the Dam determining 60% offspring, Id suggest you revisit genetics 101...there's a interesting thread of this nature on the board in the last week or two. So your suggesting that it is the field titles that make the dog...not the genes / training? You do realize that with the number of dog...
