Where I am in ND, the areas I hunt I can see anyone within probably close to a mile. I hunted yesterday with a couple from Alaska that came to see the dogs. They got a Sharptail. We saw some people walikg a a field a mile away, and I know they saw us. We just stay out of their way.

The evaluation for hunting is done via Field Trials. The National Club when bringing over someone, looks for someone that can Judge ring and Field. BTW in this country the French Brittany kennel operations are smaller than some of the American Brittany ones. But in France that is not necessarily true. I visited a breeder who had 100 dogs. Because where I hunt in Montana, I see a lot more birds, especially huns. I really don't care about pheasants. I will shoot them, but prefer Huns and Sharptail.

Vern had 35.55 miles in a 3 hour run averaging 11.85 mph. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have belived it, it was in Montana in the plains. Typical is about 22 miles for the dogs in a 3 hour run.
