The folks in Mott are very nice and the hotels will trwat you fine. There is a lot of public land to hunt if you dont mind driving a little. But all in all you should have a good time and see lots of birds. I just hunted that area this morning and saw plenty of birds.

My pup at 9 months next week is 62 lbs. At 6 months he was 53 lbs. There are so many variations in sizes for GSP's that i dont think any of us could tell you what it should, or is going to way.

Agree with the other posts, if gun intro is done properly you shouldnt have a problem. Shot my pups first pointed wild bird at 6 months, and have 60 wild birds to date over him at 8 months. Now when he sees the shotgun he gets crazy excited.

there is some close, 2 miles, but gets hit hard. But around 30 miles theres quite a bit.

So i have been counting down the days..... and Saturday cannot get here soon enough. PHEZ OPENER! Anyone else excited? Not to say grouse hunting isnt fun, but they are a lot harder to come by and the dog is itching to really get on some birds. Hope everyone has a great and safe season.
