Re: Do your new pup owners register their pups ?

I agree..it was too much control..but i really dont mind if the breeder wants their name first on the reg it is quite common here in canada as well..i think its not a bad idea really seeing as if you look at a pedigree you can notice a dog right away by the kennel name..such as cajun..one breeder we...

Re: Do your new pup owners register their pups ?

The AKC has nothing to do with it. I enter into a contract with my puppy owners. The terms of that contract give me the right to include my kennel name. If the owner objects, they're free to buy elsewhere. Honestly including the breeder's kennel in the official AKC name is so commonplace that I don...

No, I understood you plainly. I am an honest breeder. I believe we go above and beyond to satisfy our customers. I don't ever have a reason to be spooked by selling a pup to someone. That's because the first time I heard someone who was interested in purchasing a pup rattle off about legalities, co...

Gentlemen & Ladies, One of the big items we talk about to our clients is the written contract guarantee a breeder provides with his animals, and the ethics of the breeder selling the animals. I remember my first experience with bird dogs (sorry not labs, had those, but pointing dogs) when I was 16 I had been chasing woodcock around with no dog (that is sport). Ruth in the same respect if a seller doesn't get a deposit when the pups are born or even after the pics are sent the buyer vanishes. It works both ways! But most breeders will even return the deposit if the buyers decide to change their mind though it's not required. oh 100% agreed..that was my poi...
