I've never ever heard anyone argue no positive....an attaboy and energetic rub on the head us one of the best positive reinforcements there is. I just don't fall into the treat line if thinking at all.

Actually del lolo ivermectin is also used in the slow kill method of heartworm treatment as well.

But for the Op to take that info and run with it from an internet forum would be unwise.

I let youngins and ladies use my 20ga Browning B 80 (same as beretta 303), the beretta is lighter due to aluminum receiver but the all steel browning works fine.

Great design very few to no problems and can be found used if you search for one.....

Its for prevention..... Others might be better to comment here but the issue is if killed off quickly you run the risk if clogging the dogs heart. Preventative like ivermec only kills larval heartworms so its a long slow process to take care of completely. Why vets charge so much is beyond me. Again...

The ones who could care less most likely weren't nurtured when very young like the excellent video you refer to....that's basically what I've done with all my dogs retrievers and pointers for the last 30 years....one of the few good things I learned from an uncle who ruined more dogs than anyone lol...

What county do you live in? Look at my Pale Rider dog in my signature lines, picture on the right is about 20 months old, picture on the left is 7 years old. Same feed over that whole period...... So that feed is killing him on the inside but not on the outside or performance wise???? Denial buddy ....

Dog Dr. responded to a post i made concerning this a year or more ago and agreed that lowering fat and protein was of no real benefit and may actually be counterproductive in older dogs.

Force fetch is my preferred method and it has benefits beyond...... One thing never to get started doing with a young pup, is grabbing or reaching for item being retrieved. Praise them heal them then take the object. That said FF is the way to go when pup is old and bold enough.

Yea when feeding a bunch of dogs I really want a bag to not last as long.....call it what you want. Reducing bag size or protein/fat levels is like they are trying to hoodwink you....raise the price and be done with it. The rest is semantics.

"You can't put something into a dog without taking something out" this is an old saying that isn't necessarily always true. I taught the concepts of blinds, multiple marks, memory birds . without taking a thing out....on the contrary it put more into the dog, trust and built the love of the retrieve...
