Ray has it right for energy go high fat, I supplement with satin balls while hunting hard, and feed a 26 protein , 16fat.

Have you looked at the Llewellin Setter. If you want a house dog and a hunting dog, they do both nicely.

Most gun retailers do gun transfers, cost varies . I just did a search in my state to find someone that does gun transfers, along with how much they charged and they filled me in on what to do. :)

It say's for dogs and humans, it doesn't taste bad and other than having the strange desire to chase bird's and other critters, I see no side effects; Hey wait, I just realized I had those desires before! :D

He stood steady to the shot and fall in the initial point until released, I think you are responding to the actions of the dog on the retrieve, where he encouraged the dog to catch the bird. Hope this helps!

The dog in the picture is not the one for sale, the one in the picture is 7 months old and I believe the one for sale is 2yr old. :)

In regard to the check cord, there is the saying never give a command that can't be enforced and until the dog understands the command and can be collar broke it will have the check cord on it, sometimes under my control, sometimes dragging. :)
