Sorry to kind of Hi-jack this post but, looking at the TK indoor 4x5 kennels. I see that the walls are tin on the side of his kennel similar to what my shop has. I grill my duck and goose breasts after marinating them in Italian dressing for at least 24 hours. Cook them medium and leave pink in the center. The longer you cook duck/goose the drier it gets and the more "duckier" it tastes. Try that next time you cook it and you will be pleasantly surprised. I ...

There are lots and lots of articles written about this very subject, a lot of research has been done. X amount of acres will only support X amount of quail. Don't think I would train her to run rabbits. If your coon hunting at night and all she is doing is running rabbits then your going to get frustrated. Squirrels aren't nocturnal so no problem there. I'd find someone with an older dog or two to run her with when she gets a bit older. All my coonhound...

Buy you some G&H duck decoys. Best on the market hands down. All you need are mallard decoys. Everything will decoy to them. Coot decoys are great to use as well. My bad. It's all about the dog on its first few hunts. Leave the gun at home and be the full time dog handler. Don't worry about shooting birds yourself. I feel that straw being hollow will break down, flat like a straw. Also it is fairly straight and does not intertangle like prairie hay does allowing the dog to make a nest in it. When the dog digs at it and turns circles like they do they push it all off to the side.
