I'm very lucky to have a trout stream on my property. My Setter rips and dips and rips and dips all day long. We're supposed to get into the mid to upper 90s by tomorrow....we ain't goin' nowhere!

My setter locked up solid on a dead bird this weekend. It's something he's never done so I'm still wondering if the point wasn't a live bird that was a runner.

Too bad he doesn't have any intensity! :) I love those half turned frozen-in-time points. Reminds me of a pic of my Whip. Not to mention that for an experienced dog, a little nip with the vibration button and you get their attention just fine.

It really doesn't matter to me personally how much of a "deal" this pup is. A really well bred prospect with a pedigree that has an inherent value might cost you $500. My setter experienced no chaffing at all and he doesn't have the toughest underbelly skin. I think you'll be pleased.

Bowls on the floor. Never seemed to inhibit eating in any way. I use imgur. It's really simple, free and fast. The thing is to edit the size of the pic before saving
it to imgur if you're gonna post it.

Set to pixels in your photo editing program, make the highest Hor/Ver value 700.

The breed debate goes on and on but for the record, I had two britts and I wish now that I had chosen setters. My current dog is light years ahead of my brittanys.

Mendota skid plate. Filson also makes a tough one. I have never had any problem with a dog wearing a skid plate. My dog's cheapo vest was shot so after reading this thread I went on ebay and picked up a Mendota skid plate. It arrived yesterday; nicely made and fits securely....he was only disappoin...
