if you can cut it free, do it without getting bit. i use muzzle on my dog before.
it will take a longtime for new nail to grow over quick.

get pup into kennel with other dogs his size. they will correct his biting quick.also the people there working will socialize the pup also.
my biting puppy was corrected about 90% in 1 day by doing this.
if not, i believe i would have had a biting adult dog.
