Beeper or no Beeper...That is the question?!
I have always used only a bell on my dogs and have never even been around a beeper collar. Is the beeper collar a good investment and if so what one? I've read up on a few of them, the one with the "hawk feature" seems kind of silly to me! But what do I know!

I took the wings from the chuckars we shot the other day and taped them to my pups retrieving knobby dummy. Every time I throw it I'm telling him dead bird and fetch up.....this worked 8 out of 10 times with praise and a small treat give with each retrieve. The two he did not retrieve were the last ...

Thanks for the info and the photo reposting! Robbie is right, 10 months old and bird crazy. First trainer I sought help from had the dog to the point it would turn away from a bird, the second trainer preformed miracles with the pup and relit his bird drive fires for sure! Thanks Kevin, Kountry Boy ...

Dex won't move from his point until that bird is in the air, he is rock solid for as long as it takes to get to him. This we found out yesterday. Lost track of him and it took between 5 and 10 minutes to find him in the crops....when we did he was on point and steady as could be. He prob. knows more...

With bird season ready to kick off for most of us, I thought it might be cool if everyone shared their favorite game bird recipes! Its easy to get stuck in a rut of fixing it the same way over and over and this might give some of us new ideas! Just and idea!

Petsafe wireless unit is what we use at our home. You simply take it out of the box, hang it on the wall and plug it in. You then take the collar out and set your borders with the flags. ( this outfit starts beeping before they reach the border, after being shocked a couple times they will stop with...

Love our petsafe wireless. As long as you use the flags and teach them where their limits are they are wonderful. Whenever starting a kid hunting, make in short and interesting! If you see interest fading stop for the day and do something else. Make it a positive time in the field and they will want to go back.
