Re: Anyone here hunt in Oklahoma?
I have hunted Kaw for 20 years, there isn't much management for birds there anymore. They use to stock it with pheasants and there are a few still around. Quail numbers in the best years would have been considered disappointing when compared to the western OK WMAs. There are some great looking areas...

Redocking usually creates an emotional response from folks rather than a logical one. I've seen and know of many that have been redone, no issues and if done correctly no bald spot.

I suspect the "nutrition" arrives via the previous day's feeding. Exactly correct. It takes around 12 hours for a dog to fully digest a meal. this is easy to prove. Give your dog a few kernels of corn in a meal and see how long it takes for the corn to show up in the poop. Regular days = Equal amou...

Depending on the genetic make up of the solid liver stud ALL the pups could potentially be solid liver. so the male and female are both "bb" because they are liver. The female is also "ss" or she would also be solid. The male is either "bbSS" or "bbSs" because he is solid liver. So if the male is "S...

T5 is 9.2 oz. It is 0.2 oz to heavy. That is equal to the duct tape or electrical tape that we all have used to tape the antennas on our tracking collars. Get a look at the Dogtra mechanism (or Sportdog) then look at the DT mechanism or LCS. Like I said I have been using DTs for several years, but look a the difference and I think you will see why I will replace mine with Dogtra as needed.

I know of a couple of Rotts and a Boxer that all flush and retrieve pheasants.
My dad had a couple of English Shepherds (farm collie back then) that they hunted quail and rabbits with. Back then the dogs had to move the cattle and hogs. Guard the chickens and house and also work as a hunting dog.
