Re: Losing style on flush

yes I saw the exact same thing some years ago. A gsp female was good at finding birds with a nice stylish point, but as soon as you walked past her she would lose that style and seem to lose interest. My feelings is that she was ruffed up for creeping in on the bird when she was being trained.

You can't go wrong with 4health, made by diamond at their California plant. 30% protein 20% fat. No grains. About $1.00 a lb. give or take. My dogs are hard runners and they do fine on it.

.10 for every 10 lbs. is correct. 50 lb. dog 1/2 cc. Just squirt it into their mouths with the syring minus the needle of course. Use the cattle solution.

We catch wild California quail in traps and use them for training, put them in launchers and release them, never shoot them. Training for steady to the flush. They do well in my pigeon coop. I don't know if they would recall. They are sure strong flyers not like bobwhites..

I'm not talking anti-venom shots, talking about preventive shots, dog might get a little sick after being bite but will live to hunt another day. This vaccine is very reasonable. I understand that it's not to good for the Mojave Green ratle snakes
