Never had this problem with any of my dogs, but I have helped friends who have. More birds is almost always the answer. Try clip wing instead of lock wing to get the pup chasing the bird. Toss the bird to get some motion to create a chase reaction. Try using Quail or Chukar instaed of Pigeons, some...

No pressure, no fetch command and what I got looked like (from a human perspective) a retrieve. Next time have a dead bird or clip wing bird in your pocket. When you call the dog back in, throw it when the dog is looking at you on it's way in. You will be fine. Don't fall into the need for gadgets with a flusher, stick with birds.

Problem with a NEF .22 starter pistol

I have a NEF starter pistol that fires just fine, but the hammer does not stay cocked if I try to use it single action. Is there something that might need cleaning on the inside that might take care of it? I don't think that it has been shot enough times to wear anything out.
