The Flowchart is different for diferent breeds (uses) of our dogs. Pointers/Setters, Rerievers, Pointing Retrievers etc.
I'd be happy to post the Flowchart for Retrievers if anybody wants to see it, just say so.

I certainly wouldn't use a beef knuckle bone. I've seen too many dogs break a molar chewing on them.
How about a Kong with some peanut butter or some "treats" inside of it.

TYPICALLY, the "protein bars" for humans use Soy as one of the major sources of protein. Dogs don't utilize soy protein. It's a dominance issue --- it's not sexual.
The dog doesn't realize where it is in the 'pack order' (should be the Omega).
