Jon, Do not use Ivomec Plus! Use Ivomec Injection for Cattle and Swine 1% Sterile Solution . Be sure to check the expiration date because a bottle should last you a couple of years. Find an 1 ml insuline syringe and an 18 or 20 gauge needle. Draw .1 ml per 10 lbs of dog weight ( .6 ml for a 60 lb do...

Studies have shown that dogs fed a high protein diet were less likely to have soft tissue injuries. Proteins are ...

I won't feed a diet less than 30% protien and 20% fat. Towards the end of the hunting season, I usually have to supplement the performance diet in order to keep weight on the dogs. In the summer, I feed about half the portion that I feed in the winter. Here is a link to some information regarding pr...

Are you breeding him? If not, why don't you have him neutered?

BTW, his gnads are a long way from his heart. I've never heard of a dog dying from chapped nuts.

I went out friday (foo foo holiday, we get all of them off) to..... Thank a veteran for serving our country, not for the day off in November. Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day,” which commemorated the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. Proclaimed by Congress each year starting in 1926, Ar...

If the lepto vaccine ties up a pups (<12-weeks) immune system, chances are the pup will not be protected from any part of the vaccine ( parvo, distemper, carona, etc....). At 12 weeks, the lepto vaccine is okay, but I have seen some pretty bad reactions so I always keep epi handy in case of emergenc...

This is the vaccination schedule that I use: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/pic/article.cfm?aid=85 I don't know the specifics, but I have read that the lepto vaccine ties up the puppies immune system if given before 12 weeks of age. I can't imagine a breeder vaccinating a pup without consulting a vet...
