A tip for you guys wanting to shoot panoramics, shoot each shot in portraiture not landscape. When you go to stitch them together you'll have a taller picture instead of a long skinny one. This was a 5 image panoramic, hand stitched from where I deer hunt in Utah. Click on the pic to see it.

I salvaged an old storage shed and used the panels for the roof on my temporary setup. Hog fencing first then the panels on top covering half the run. Dogs can chose the sun or shade and when it rains they have a place to get out of it.

I've been having problems with the read/unread red boxes. As long as the pup looks good weight wise now feed it the same amount. Half in the morning, half at night.

She's a PITA, I'm a PITA. We've learned as long as each of us is doing what we love ( her chasing birds, me chasing her ) we can live with each other.

Mine is on lockdown during her season. Especially during danger week. No free running. It only takes a minute of not watching for a tie to happen. Can you guarantee another dog isn't going to jump that fence?

My cheap starter pistol is also falling apart and becoming unreliable. Kind of hard to train without one. This would solve that problem.

Sounds like you need to take your dog to the nationals in Eureka and run her in both the open and Amateur gun dog stakes

I keep telling him to run her in AF stuff out here. She'd be competitive.

What about the Remington 700 SPS if you want to go with a 700 in lieu of the 770. I would also think about the Weatherby Vangaurd. Both are budget minded rifles that shoot well. Vanguard is a very nice gun for the money, another good choice would be a Savage, both are ugly guns that shoot very well...

Genetically, the answer is one, isn't it? A non carrier out of a carrier is clear so long as you breed it to a non carrier if producing carriers is what you're avoiding.

Did you take the gun apart? Sometimes serial numbers are stamped into the bottom of the barrels, receive, and for grip. At least mine is. You could lookup the serial number and get a better idea about this gun.

I do it differently! My dogs learn from the get go that barking results in not so much fun with me. I go out and smack em with a magazine or hat a few times and they shut right up.
