I havent noticed but that would chap me a little too. However, If the bloodlines are there I might go for it. The breeder doesnt make the dog, the dogs do. However, I would have a hard time buying from anyone but a reputable breader.

PLant birds that will fly away if he runs in on them. Once your dog realizes he cannot catch them he will start flash pointing and then finally pointing. If you can plant strong flying birds let him figure it out on his own.

Not as much fat and protein content. I am getting really tired of people who dont seem to get that dogs do not have the same nutritional requirements we as people do. I disagree. I find Diamond's formula to be better then many foods that cost more. Diamond Premium has ground whole corn which contrary to popular myth is actually good for the dog and not just a filler. There is a difference between corn meal and ground whole corn. Ground whole corn provides fats an...

I would not even say you can do better than Diamond. You have to judge on a per dog basis. You may be able to do better than Diamond for dog A but Diamond may be the best thing for dog B. If your pleased with the performance why change it?

Re: How would you take this?

I feed my GSP Diamond Premium. It has been great for her. Great coat, energy and maintained her weight very well. Every vet in the world says you have to use science diet. Problem is most vets do not understand what a sporting dog needs. I find science diet to be lacking in energy levels for my GSP....

This is a little trick I picked up while camping one year. Hang zip-loc bags filled with water all around your kennel high enough that your dogs cannot get to them.
