I say you shoot whatever you whoot best. As my friend days, "Beware the man with one gun." However, but if your going to shoot the 870. get yourself a beautiful 870 wingmaster.

I havent noticed but that would chap me a little too. However, If the bloodlines are there I might go for it. The breeder doesnt make the dog, the dogs do. However, I would have a hard time buying from anyone but a reputable breader.

First, Its a free country. Im not defending these guys but if they want to sell some pups for half of what good Hall of Fame and FC line will cost I say let go for it. I say you get what you pay for. I may breed my GSP someday but Ihave already decided that I will not until she has earned an FC titl...

PLant birds that will fly away if he runs in on them. Once your dog realizes he cannot catch them he will start flash pointing and then finally pointing. If you can plant strong flying birds let him figure it out on his own.

Great guns. I decided to buy one for my wife after my friend bought one for his daughter for skeet shooting. I will probably buy one for myself. Darn soft shooting gun. No problems yet.

Re: Ol Roy High Pro ?????
Not as much fat and protein content. I am getting really tired of people who dont seem to get that dogs do not have the same nutritional requirements we as people do. A lot of that "High Quality" dog food is too rich and overkill. I would agree with whoever challenged the gentleman who was stating D...

Re: Ol Roy High Pro ?????
I disagree. I find Diamond's formula to be better then many foods that cost more. Diamond Premium has ground whole corn which contrary to popular myth is actually good for the dog and not just a filler. There is a difference between corn meal and ground whole corn. Ground whole corn provides fats an...

I have heard of a lot of people having loose stools with the hi-energy. The Premium is an excellent option. Its what I feed my dog. I would not even say you can do better than Diamond. You have to judge on a per dog basis. You may be able to do better than Diamond for dog A but Diamond may be the best thing for dog B. If your pleased with the performance why change it?

Re: How would you take this?
I feed my GSP Diamond Premium. It has been great for her. Great coat, energy and maintained her weight very well. Every vet in the world says you have to use science diet. Problem is most vets do not understand what a sporting dog needs. I find science diet to be lacking in energy levels for my GSP....

I can attest to the quality of their O/U's. I am sure their SxS's are just as high of quality. I thought about pickign one up but when I held it I realized I did not really care for the fore-stock. I like the ones that wrap around the barrels.

This is a little trick I picked up while camping one year. Hang zip-loc bags filled with water all around your kennel high enough that your dogs cannot get to them. I do not know why but we did that around our camp one year and it kept the flys away and they were horrible. I have not tried it with m...

I wouldnt see the harm in it as long as she cannot catch them. The main thing to rememberif you do that is it is all for play for her. Do not expect anything of her. The dog is only 8 months. Don't worry about they are just being pups. train her on pigeons. Catch a few or buy a few. They will fly hard and typically cannot be caught as easily as pen raised quail.

Re: how to get dog's head up when on scent?
I was having the same problem with my GSP when I sent her off to the trainer. I took her back to the check cord and worked on heel and a number of other thin...
