Yeah, I'm sorry, but I don't see pen raised pheasants as a problem for young dogs. My dog has a tougher time with pinning down Grouse than ditch chickens. When I was a young man I killed evrything that walked , ran , crawled, flew or swam. I guess I've matured in the last 15 years ...we catch a lot of fish all catch and release.We try not to kill the birds...I'm getting more of a rush finding pointing and flushing. Personally I like to let the pup be a pup. Get it into wild birds as much as possible and let it develop at it's own pace. i saw no change in my labs hunting ability after he was nuetered.like said, if you wait year or older,it does not improve aggressiveness in dog or sexual thing.
