Re: Beepers
I use the beeper and like it. I really like the hawk screamer on it when they go on point, holds the birds. I bought a Garmin this year , still debating if I’ll use the beeper this year. No ploblems with the beeper on my GSP.

I’m a foot hunter, I hunt around water holes or were I’ve seen birds in the past. I like my dogs to come from good bird dog lines that were natural retrievers and that line has competed in field trials. Really didn't plan on running her on the launcher this early. While out on walks the last few weeks we've been running into a few wild quail and she's became bird crazy. On this pic. she stopped on first scent after the launch she held her pose for a few seconds before she wanted to start the chase....

14 weeks is really early. I would contact the breeder and ask him those questions, he should know better than anyone else. You’ll have some lines that are softer and it takes longer to mature than others. For my 16 week old pointer, all I have been doing is working on retrieving with a frozen quail,...

Ya, never read that book or Wing and Shot. My understanding of doing a father X duaghter breeding is your locking in the fathers traits which will be more likely passed on to its off spring. I wounder if anyone will outcross to Connor's EZ Button then breed back a daughter. No, not any specific name...

Re: Breeding sight-unseen, would you?
You know of any great studs from a father daughter breeding. Prepotency isn't always passed on, depending on how tight the genetics are. When you breed a brother to a sister they have like genetics and the pups will come out with like genetics. Gene's are made up of what's called an allele and there...
