Only way that dog you mention on the Pheasant would have been docked points is if the handler had called point and began to make a flushing effort. Rick it was a joke man. I know some feeds give gas bad, been there done that with three house hounds and always one of the A-string riding in the truck with me. Just found it humorous how many times you mention farts and feed together. I think it's all that swamp water your drink myself. :wink:

Birdman, Rufus is scheduled on the 17th for his surgery, not really surgery as they use an injectable instead of gas and the whole proccess takes all of about 10 minutes. If it is cherry eye the best fix I have found is to simply have it cut out. You can have the duct reattached but no guarantee it will stay put then you have another vet bill. It has been my experience that a dog trained on lib's will bump wild birds, generally requiring additional training. I know wild birds are so few these days it is nearly impossible for trainers to use wild birds solely in breaking dogs. And even if they did most would not like young dogs busting up...

We hunted at Burkburnett the opener and it was normal, lots of young birds. Texas flat opens the season too early cause even when you don't lose the first hatch you will have birds nesting late in the year. Sucks when ya shoot a bird so young, what a waste.
