Field Trial Questions

I went and volunteered for my local club this last weekend at a HB field trial. I didn't get a real chance to go out on someones horse and watch braces. I was too busy bagging and prepping birds and trying to keep the event moving along. Anyways I was discussing the event with my wife a little bit. ...

Assuming that your talking about boyce corral tomorrow....if so its call backs. The birds don't want to fly at all. Didn't fly worth crap today.....so ground sluecing will probably be on the ticket. Break action gun..be safe...don't stress. Ill be gunning with you....

The sweeping downhill shot is very tough to mimic....especially when you factor in just how stinking fast the little buggers are when they cup there wings and drop altitude... There are plenty of pointing breeds that are used as waterfowl dogs also.......But i think the most correct answer is to train for what you want, if you feel that having a sit or down command is needed for what you want to do with your dog then train for it.
