SW Florida anyone?
Wondering if we have anyone here from SW Florida that runs dogs?
I'm a new Florida transplant and am looking for a place to run and train. I'm on Pine Island just north of Ft Myers and have a young GWP that I want to get ready to trial.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Agree with everyone who said both. I have had dogs that just backed as puppies, but when they grew up, they had to learn they HAD to do it They were pretty easy to teach. I've had dogs that seemed to have no inkling whatsoever... they also had to learn that they HAD to do it. Seems to me that the do...

I wonder why pointer breeder/owners etc can't tell the difference between a 18 mos old pointer and a 4 yr old pointer. I've taken a couple of my dogs to a dog park. Before going in I always scope the place out for who is in there, the breeds, and what the owners are doing. some female puppies come down with a bladder infection and thus seem to pee a lot. If this is the case, you will notice she will squat and just dribble a little bit of urine, very often. For the life of me I can't remember what we fed him! Did they have dry dog food back then? Probably Gravy Train or something equally horrible.
Times sure do change!

Most all "official" water tests will be held by a Weim club or a GWP club. I believe the Spins may now need a test to complete their SH or MH title as well.
I'd suggest you contact your local breed clubs that hold a hunt test or FT. They would be the ones to hold a water test.

Not all debt is bad, if you are using that debt to actually make money. Like someone said, without debt no business would be in business. While I own, run and love GWP's, it's hard to beat a pretty setter running and on point! Or any long tailed beast that uses that tail while running. Our short tailed dogs are at a distinct disadvantage sometimes.
