I carry my 40 cal when we bow hunt for bears, I used it last night to track my wifes bear, mine holds at least ten rounds, I can't imagine not stopping a bear at point bank with a 40 cal with 10 rounds, my gun of choice would be a 12 gauge with slugs for tracking

the dog i'm looking for would hunt ruff grouse mostly,some woodcock and sharp-tail, maybe a couple pheasant trips a year I will tell you what I like about the britt I have now, she covers ground very quickly up to 150 yard casts depending on terrain( haven't hunted any prairie yet), she is very bold...

I was in your shoes last fall with my britt, I would put the dog on the ground and see how he does, don't shoot anything the dog doesnt point I would keep the shots to singles at first just to be on the save side, I would bet if he hold on pigeons he wil start to handle some of the grouse he finds, ...

ive been loft flying my birds for atleast two weeks they seem to due pretty well how far do I dare bring them away from there coop for training, before I train them for longer distances, I either read or was told that the birds are already covering atleast a few miles when loft flying is this true?

the young birds, have no problem going thru the bobs, but the rest of the birds in the coop are to young to fly or are prisoners that is why I was plan to catch them place them in the aviary then open the door to the aviary and hope they fly out

just a shot in the dark, maybe try leaving him In the crate longer like 8 to noon than noon til 5 maybe the short crate sessions are making him think is barking and whining is working, I know if you have time to let um out that's great, but maybe after hes quiet in the crate always

will pigeons drink out of a nipple type watering system, right now to have a trough type water jug and they make a mess of that, does anyone use or have picture of a nipple type watering jug they use for pigeons . i have to set it on a plate style heater to keep it from freezeing
