FWIW -

I have noticed that if I use the dremel and get close to the quick...it recedes...slowly over time and repeated close sandings. I think it is the heat generated which causes the quick to retreat.

I register all of mine because I MAY compete with them and I get a 5 gen pedigree because I think it is cool to see where they came from.
