Moving a pigeon coop
After all my birds got stolen last year I am thinking about moving my coop about 200 yds further to the back of the property. I have 2 birds that are free flying right now. Will the move to the back cause any issues with these two birds?

Local setter club? The op's question? It's simply the local club making accommodations for the continental breeds, which are the bulk of their entries. It's really that simple.

Same here. It is a lot harder for clubs to shoot first bird on course though. Out here about %50 of the trials are call backs, the other %50 are first bird on course.ACooper wrote:I would much rather kill the first bird on course than do callbacks. On the quail try to flush, and shoot a blank when the bird goes up. Here in California you can't run dogs on birds out of season. OP, if you run your dog where there are wild birds, don't bring the blank pistol. Pretty hard to convince a DFG officer you weren't allowing your dog to pursue game with...

To run in limited stakes you need a derby win or a placement in a broke stake.Saddle wrote:The limited stakes I've seen the dogs had no placements is that right? I don't want to speak out of turn because I don't know.
