dog is to young to force train. let him grow up. any training now should be fun training for you and the dog. by all means play fetch but don't force he may just do it by his self wait until he grows up. plenty of time for more formal training

yes I live right beside it used to be vary good grouse hunting around but not to good now you can still find a few birds if you put in the time
