Sounds exactly like a skin tag. A lot of dogs get these and they are benign. Usually no reason to take them off unless they become irritated/bleed. I would leave it alone.
Unless it changes in size, appearance, etc, I would not make a trip to the vet. You can point it out at his next regular visit.

By the pic you posted, he does not look skinny. You should be able to see 2-3 ribs- nice conditioned dog. Most people consider a dog with any ribs showing to be too skinny which is not the case.

IF you want to stick with grain-free, is Taste of the Wild or Acana (made by Champion who makes Orijen) available and cheaper where you live? They would be good alternatives and here, they are cheaper then Blue Buffalo Wilderness.

Max also uses his feet like hands to pull things off the counter, open doors and close doors (he hides in the bathroom on me), etc but....he uses them in a dominant way to poke me for attention. He gets corrected for that.
