Wowzer! $875 for a kennel. It certainly is tough but perhaps a little over kill. Not too many dog kennels are being shot with a shotgun. But I guess if you have the dough and it trips your trigger go for it. Rough Tough kennels are very nice for about a 1/4 the cost.

The video footage really didn't show the entire brace and focused mainly on the dog on point. But if you listen to the narrative she does say that the judge must be able to see the dog in order to judge the find. the field size in NSTRA events is such that you can see the entire field from one vantage point. Surely the judge doesn't need to ride up in front of the hunter and at one point pass the dog as shown in the video. That is not always true. ezzy, you are spot on. Very difficult to tell simply from what you read on the bag. Certainly some are better than others. But the bottom line is how is your dog doing on a specific food. If the dog is doing great why change foods. Lots of advertising hype out there.

Nothing wrong with a 50 lb. male Brittany as long as the dog isn't over weight and still has good stamina. I had a 50 lb. male several years back that was one of the best dogs I've owned. He was a muscular and solid dog. Here's a pic of him in his prime.

Snow is great unless there is too much. It keeps those roosters from running and they sit tight under the snow. Here's a photo of my Brittany Elle on point in the snow. There was a rooster buried in the snow right under her nose.
