Re: HELP! Our Vizsla won't hunt!
BTW, vman, your last comments were probably not directed toward me, but just to be clear, I am not a young guy or new to training bird dogs. I was just giving my opinion without knowing the entire situation or seeing the dog. I wish nev and the new dog the best and hope it works out. :D Charlie Cha...

Re: HELP! Our Vizsla won't hunt!
For what it is worth, I agree with gonehunting and Ray Gubernat. I pesonally would not waste any more time with this dog unless you want him for a pet. I contacted Nev privately and gave her some homework. You have to look at the big picture. Here is a dog that is new to the owners, hasn`t settled ...

I bought three bags today in a store that didn`t have any two weeks ago. Looks and tasted the same. But it is up to .65cents/lb. Still a bargain in my book. Dogs dove in like it was steak. They missed it too.

Re: No More Exceed
I called Sams Corporate yesterday and was told my local Sams has 78 bags of Exceed being shipped to them shortly. She said they were 44# bags, so hopefully it is the same old stuff. She also mentioned a 50# bag of feed that was available also. I told her I was only interested in the 44# bag of Excce...

South Dakota Bound, Benelli does not make an Ultra lite in 20 ga. 12 only. If you want a 20 ga. then you need to look at the m2 if you want new. If you can settle for used, then you may find a M1. If you want a wood gun then look at the Montefeltro. They do make the Cordoba in 20, but that is a clay...

I am not a believer in using the collar in place of the ear pinch or tow hitch. I think using the collar in place of these two methods will ruin dogs if the handler does not know exactly how to do it, and reads dogs very very well. Agree,, as with other commands the collar is used to enforce KNOWN ...

K9, I don`t want to sit here and bicker about it. But typically when collars are not fully charged or on the downside, we need to advance our levels. This is with all collars. The Permatack checkcord is nice and very durable, but it tangles easier than a LC supply "tangle proof " solid core checkcord. It tends to grab certain things. You need to determine if the dog is BLINKING the launcher or not. You can check for that as mentioned. If he is not, then proceed. Always use a crosswind.
