Troy, I have found the G9 to be a little slow for action pics. It is hard to keep up with moving subjects sometimes with the auto focus. Shooting in continuous mode is not that great either. You get (Normal: approx. 1.5 fps; AF: approx. 0.7 fps) with the G9 and (Normal: approx. 1.3 fps; AF: approx....

Just started looking for a compact camera to use in the field. What camera are you guys using or wish you had. I'm just starting out and been looking at the Canon G10. I can pick this up for around $300-400 range. Looking to take fast action pictures. Thanks
