Re: Bama has made it to Pennsylvania.
Joe, I watched that whole litter come up. The whole litter was really nice! But I was always partial to your pup and one that went to South Carolina I think. That litter has a TON of potential to be really special. Mike really has some nice animals that represent the breed to its fullest at his pla...

So, Heather from GDE dropped off our new pup around noon today. She was packed full of energy from her time on the van but a trip to the football field did the trick. She has no problem running. The kids were extremely excited when they got home and haven't left her alone since. She is now crashed o...

In PA we have deer hunting the entire Grouse season, its just a fact of hunting in PA. The grouse season does close for the two weeks of rifle deer season (you would be crazy to try to hunt a dog in the woods around here then!) You got that right! A lot of times, in the State Game Land anyway, it's...

While there are some legitimate concerns here, I really hate to see hunters, who hunt one type of game, bashing and/or generalizing about hunters who have a different venue. We all need to support each other's sport, standing together against groups that are pushing to bring all hunting to an end. ...

Go for it. I know of a few guys that use a lab with a pointer. There pointers are broke and trial and they don't allow them to retrieve. They do exactly what you are talking about. All the people that have puppies from that particular female are aware that she is a carrier. When my pointer was young she would run from pile to pile and grab a chunk at each one. You always knew when she found one that tasted good. She stopped and had a quick lunch. I am not in a position to comment on GSP's or Lab's, as they are not my chosen breed. That being said, we have a color pattern issue in Epagneul Bretons as well. It is called "sable". just my opinion, but if they have hunted together like this for years then you will only break the chain by hunting them separately for a while. The point of using the launcher is to pop it when she moves after first scent. I always brought mine in cross wind and let her snap towards the bird.
